Five men have been arrested for violation of Japan’s “Anti-Prostitution” law in Osaka’s Red Light District of Matsushima Shinchi after a tip-off about a woman forced into prostitution to pay off her debts that she had accumulated from a host club in Minami, Osaka around December 2023.
The five suspects are accused of mediating the process between prostitutes and male clients at a brothel in Matsushima Shinchi between April and October this year.
One of the suspects, Tateki Okuda (31), a brothel operator in the area who is also involved in the management of a host club, may have been coordinating the prostitution of the victim(s).
Osaka Police have not revealed whether the Tateki Okuda admits to the charges and is investigating further.
